A Car for Religious Sisters in Lviv, Ukraine

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the Sisters of the religious community the Catechists of Saint Anne, devoted to working with children and young people, have more to do, as they are now also helping to look after the refugees, who have fled in large numbers from the areas of fighting to the west of Ukraine.

Four of these religious live in their convent in Horodotska Street in Lviv. In addition to their catechetical work in several of the parishes, they also visit the families, especially the poorer ones, bringing them food and clothing.

The Sisters urgently need a vehicle for their work and for transporting essential goods and materials. Sister Veronica Yaniv has written to us, asking our help to purchase a car. “The vehicle will greatly help us in our missionary work, and we would be most grateful for your support.”

We could not ignore this appeal, and immediately promised them $16,100.

Will you help these religious Sisters serving refugees and young people in Ukraine purchase a car so they can better engage in their missionary work?

We are sure they will gratefully remember you in their prayers.
