The Nigeria-based terrorist organization Boko Haram is now notorious throughout the world for the brutality of its attacks. Less well known is the fact that Islamist nomadic Fulani tribesman are now also engaging in similar activities, burning down villages and launching brutal attacks on other Nigerians. The affected area includes the Diocese of Kafanchan where they have been blessed with numerous vocations despite the violence.

At the same time, these children are a particular cause of concern to him, since during school holidays there is usually very little for them to do and so they often spend their time hanging out in the streets.
These Carmelite sisters, who live in strict enclosure, never leave their convent, yet their prayer spans the whole world. The fact that young Carmelite Sisters are once again living in this convent is one of the most beautiful fruits of the Triumph of Mary‘s Immaculate Heart. In 1950, the Carmelites had been forcibly ejected from their convent and forced to work in factories.
In September 2017, vast areas of Cuba were struck by Hurricane Irma. The island was pounded by winds gusting up to 160 miles an hour, torrential rainfall, tidal surges with waves of up to 30 feet and widespread flooding. Many of the Catholic dioceses in the country have also suffered from this natural disaster, and many of the people have been forced to stand helpless at the sight of their damaged homes and churches.
Attacks against Christians are a regular occurrence in Pakistan today. Almost every priest in the country has at some time received anonymous threatening phone calls or letters. Even the bishops of the country receive threatening letters, demanding that they convert to Islam.
