Fund the Training of Seminarians in Argentina

The Diocese of Nueve de Julio in Argentina, about 160 miles from Buenos Aires, has 35 parishes, with a total population of almost 350,000 Catholics. The parishes vary widely in size, from smaller parishes with under 1,000 members to huge parishes of over 45,000. But not every parish has its own priest, and consequently, it can be difficult to minister to the faithful.

Fund the Training of Seminarians in Argentina

A few years ago, a vocations apostolate was established within the diocese to reach out to young men in Argentina who might feel called to the service. Retreat days and other events were organized in order to help and accompany young Catholics. Given that there is no religious instruction in the state schools, this is crucial.

The initiative is now bearing fruit, as there are currently 11 young men from the diocese training for the priesthood. They are a source of great joy for the Church, but the cost of their upkeep and training is a major challenge, especially in the middle of an economic crisis only intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ACN has offered to contribute $4,900 for their training.

Will you give to support the seminarians of Argentina as they prepare for a life of prayer and service?

We are sure they will remember you in their prayers.

Aid to the Church in Need commits to invest your funds where they will have the greatest impact for the Church that we serve. Funds donated to Aid to the Church in Need’s projects will be used towards the greatest need in our programs to help keep the Faith alive.
