Help for the Training of 25 Seminarians in Belarus
For many years, ACN has helped the Diocese of Grodno in Belarus with the formation of its seminarians. 25 young men currently study there, and eight of them are new entrants to the seminary. According to their rector, Vitaly Vojtekhovskyj, they and the academic staff have begun the new year “with optimism,” despite the COVID-19 pandemic and political unrest in the country following the presidential elections of August 2020.
But training the seminarians is still a great challenge. “Time in the seminary is extremely important for these future priests,” says Rector Vojtekhovskyj. “Their formation is a spiritual process, yet it nevertheless has to be assured materially.” It is impossible to support this formation from Sunday collections alone, so once again, the rector is asking for our support.
He also asks that we pray for Belarus during these difficult times. In return, he and his seminarians promise to pray for ACN benefactors who have supported the seminary in the past or plan to do so in the future.
We have pledged $24,300 so that these young men can pursue their vocation.
Will you give to help the future priests of Belarus continue their studies and complete their formation?
