A Retirement Home for Priests in India

Thanks to your help, the Diocese of Jagdalpur in India has at last built a home for its sick and elderly priests. ACN contributed $32,086 to the total cost of the project and is happy to announce that the home is complete and formally blessed.

This building exists for the priests of the diocese who worked tirelessly for years and are now too old or infirm. In this diocese, priestly service is demanding. Priests work in remote, undeveloped regions and travel long distances on difficult roads; now, they are not able to minister alone, and they need care, too.

Bishop Joseph Kollamparampil has written to thank all of you who helped: “I am very, very grateful for the wonderful support you have given us, so we could build this home for our frail and elderly priests. I am delighted to tell you that our retirement home is now complete and was blessed on June 7, 2023. Although we encountered many difficulties, we were able, thanks to the grace of God and a lot of hard work, to finish the work sooner than expected. Thank you again for your constant help and love! We are praying for you!”
