A Vehicle for a Parish in Indonesia

Father Jakob Umbu Warata, the Provincial of the Redemptorist Fathers, asked that we help his fellow priests in the parish of Saint Andrew Ngallu, in Sumba, Indonesia. They were in urgent need of a sturdy, all-terrain vehicle, and thanks to our donors’ generosity, we were able to raise $21,713 for it. Now, Father Jakob has written to thank us: “Our heartfelt thanks for your efforts and your help. We are most grateful, and we are praying for you all. May God bless you, today and always!” 

The vehicle has already arrived and been solemnly blessed. It will make an immense difference in the pastoral work of the parish, which covers a vast area, including 21 small chapels up to 35 miles from the parish center – and on roads that require an all-terrain vehicle. Father Leo, the parish priest, is delighted, as are all the Catholic faithful!
