“Today I wish to sincerely thank all those who, at the international and inter-religious level, are doing everything to stop the war. I thank the Orthodox brethren, particularly in Germany and Western Europe, and the Russian Orthodox Church abroad, which is trying to serve refugees, and which is appealing to the Church hierarchy in Russia for the need to end the war immediately.”

"Despite the danger we continue to celebrate Holy Mass every day. We also continue to offer catechesis and prayer online. We are supporting the refugees, hosting them in our churches, convents, or in the houses of members of the third order. Despite the difficult situation, the sisters continue to care for children and the elderly."

“Every time there's a Russian occupation of any part of Ukraine where the Ukrainian Catholic Church is ministering, the Ukrainian Catholic Church is strangled and eventually rendered illegal and maybe extinguished."

As soon as the emergency aid program was launched, hundreds of volunteers turned up at the office ready to offer their time and energies in helping. Since then, the office has remained open day and night.

“If we don’t act now, this terrible and incessant crisis will lead to thousands of children being left without education, and will encourage even more Christian families to emigrate."

“We don’t ask about religion but However, people should know that they are in a Catholic center. We pray before meals and have devotions every evening."
